Aspect Workflows is a remote cache, the Build Results UI, remote execution, CI runners and selective delivery for Bazel. With the free, open-source Aspect CLI and rulesets, it makes up the Aspect platform. Your pipelines keep calling bazel, and your BUILD files don’t change. It runs on one of two offerings: Aspect Cloud, Aspect’s multi-tenant service, and Aspect Enterprise, an isolated deployment for your organization. Aspect Cloud

Aspect Cloud is running in minutes: sign up, log in with the Aspect CLI, and point Bazel at it. There’s nothing to provision.
  • A remote cache shared by CI and every developer. Add it to the CI runners you already have with one setup step.
  • The Build Results UI for every invocation, from CI and local development. Logs stream while the build runs, flaky tests are separated from real failures, and JUnit cases are parsed out of large suites.

Aspect Enterprise

Aspect Enterprise is an isolated deployment for your organization, with infrastructure and data no other customer shares. CI runners and remote execution are available on it today, so it’s for teams that need them now, or whose policy requires isolation. It’s hosted by Aspect, self-hosted in your AWS account or GCP project, including air-gapped and GovCloud, or on-prem (coming soon), deployed with a Helm chart on your own hardware. Every deployment includes every Aspect Workflows capability. Also available: SSO, your own identity provider in place of Aspect sign-in, SCIM provisioning, private endpoints, VPC peering, endpoints on your own DNS domain, remote execution workers on your own hardware, and a choice of who operates it. Free and open source

The Aspect CLI connects your builds to Aspect Workflows and adds status checks, PR comments and inline lint findings on GitHub and GitLab. It runs formatting, linting, BUILD file generation and delivery as tasks that behave the same on a laptop and in CI. Aspect also maintains rules_py, rules_js, rules_ts and rules_lint. Both are free, with or without Aspect Workflows.
