Role Overview

This is a hands-on, part-time internship ideal for current undergraduate or graduate students—or recent graduates—interested in startup marketing, developer tools, or SaaS. You will work directly with the Head of Marketing and account executives on real campaigns, content, events, analytics, and brand-building programs.

You’ll gain experience across the entire marketing funnel: demand generation, digital advertising, content creation, product marketing, events, community building, and marketing operations.

What You’ll Learn & Do

Content & Campaign Support

  • Assist with drafting blog posts, social posts, newsletters, and customer stories.
  • Support email campaigns, landing pages, and nurture sequences.
  • Conduct research on industry topics, competitors, and developer tooling trends.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Help manage paid media campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Analyze performance metrics in tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Support SEO initiatives: keyword research, content optimization, and tracking.

Events & Community

  • Assist with the planning and promotion of BazelCon, webinars, workshops, and meetup sponsorships.
  • Support event logistics, speaker coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Help produce and promote the Aspect Insights podcast.

Product & Partner Marketing

  • Assist with product launches, feature announcements, and competitive research.
  • Support co-marketing efforts with cloud partners, tooling vendors, and consulting partners.

Marketing Operations

  • Maintain CRM records, lead lists, and campaign data hygiene.
  • Organize creative assets, presentations, and project documents.
  • Support internal reporting, dashboards, and weekly metrics updates.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student OR recent graduate (within the last year).
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Interest in software, developer tools, or technology startups (no coding required—though helpful).
  • Eagerness to learn modern marketing tools, strategies, and analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with copywriting, editing, or technical writing.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot or Webflow or interest in learning.
  • Interest in developer communities, open source, or engineering culture.
  • Basic design or video-editing skills (Figma, Canva, Premiere, etc.).

What You’ll Gain

  • Exposure to full-stack marketing in a venture-funded developer tools startup.
  • Mentorship from experienced marketing, product, and engineering leaders.
  • Portfolio-worthy projects across content, campaigns, and events.
  • A deep understanding of developer ecosystems, CI/CD, and modern engineering workflows.
  • Practical experience with industry-standard SaaS marketing tools.
  • Opportunity for extended internship or future full-time roles based on performance.
