Role Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer at Aspect Build, you’ll be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating the multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure that powers Aspect Workflows. You’ll work closely with the backend, DevSecOps, and customer success teams to ensure our platform is performant, secure, and reliable—across both our managed SaaS environments and customer self-hosted deployments.

You’ll be instrumental in evolving how Aspect Build scales and operates distributed systems used by thousands of developers daily.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Aspect Workflows cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises (e.g., Kubernetes clusters or OpenStack).
  • Support self-hosted and customer-managed deployments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and cost efficiency across multiple cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Partner with the DevSecOps team to ensure compliance, observability, and infrastructure security (SOC 2, RBAC, secrets management).
  • Build automation and tooling to streamline provisioning, scaling, and disaster recovery workflows.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize remote execution and caching systems for scalability and latency.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production reliability and incident response.
  • Document infrastructure architecture and operational best practices for internal teams and customer deployments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure (multi-cloud experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform (or equivalent IaC tools).
  • Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and incident response.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, remote execution, or developer tooling environments.
  • Scripting and automation skills in Go, Python, or Bash.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting self-hosted or hybrid enterprise software deployments.
  • Knowledge of Bazel, build systems, or developer productivity infrastructure.
  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization and capacity planning.
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure or DevOps tooling.

Why Aspect Build

  • Join the team behind cutting-edge innovations in developer infrastructure and build automation.
  • Work on a technically demanding, high-impact platform used by elite engineering teams.
  • Remote-first, collaborative engineering culture with deep open-source roots.
  • Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and strong benefits.
