Director of Operations – Aspect Build

Aspect Build is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the company’s internal and external operational systems as we scale. This role is central to enabling predictable growth, ensuring operational excellence, and building the infrastructure that supports both our enterprise customers and our internal teams.

You’ll work closely with leadership across Engineering, Marketing and Sales to manage business operations, compliance, and cross-functional efficiency. You’ll also help operationalize our cloud services, self-hosted delivery, and SOC 2 compliance processes—driving executional discipline and alignment across the organization.

This is a high-impact role for a hands-on operations leader with a track record in developer platform companies or B2B SaaS environments.

Business & Operational Leadership

• Lead and optimize company-wide operations, including business systems, resource planning, and process automation.
  
• Partner with the CEO on forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
  
• Implement and manage operational frameworks for customer onboarding, support, and post-sales delivery.
  
• Oversee internal toolchains, CRM, billing systems, and data management processes.
  
• Manage procurement processes with customers to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.
  
• Streamline legal processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  
• Collaborate with the sales and legal team on contracts, redlines, and related documentation.
  

Compliance, Security & Infrastructure

• Own SOC 2 Type II compliance programs, coordinating with DevSecOps and external auditors.
  
• Ensure operational readiness for enterprise procurement, security reviews, and vendor assessments.
  
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to define operational standards for cloud-managed and on-prem customer environments.
  

Program Management & Cross-Functional Execution

• Define key metrics and dashboards to measure performance, uptime, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.Contribute to organizational planning, hiring strategy, and vendor management.
• Build scalable internal processes for release coordination, incident response, and customer SLAs.
• Lead cross-functional planning, ensuring alignment among Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing and Sales teams. 

Required:

• 8+ years of experience in operations, program management, or business infrastructure, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  
• Proven success scaling developer infrastructure or B2B SaaS operations.
  
• Experience with SOC 2, security compliance, or enterprise readiness programs.
  
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills—comfortable working with metrics, dashboards, and financial models.
  
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred:

• Experience in a VC-backed startup or engineering-led company.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps, cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure), or developer tooling markets
• Background managing cross-functional operations in distributed or remote-first teams.
• Working knowledge of CRM and ticketing systems such as HubSpot and Linear.
