# Target trends in the Build Results UI

***

![Targets page with sparklines and a ranked target table, including P90 artifact size](https://mintcdn.com/aspectbuild/mPlChZw_LzKUv7Pq/images/marketing/web-ui/target-trends.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=mPlChZw_LzKUv7Pq\&q=85\&s=a39e3372b301bcbd7b67645603dcd773)

CI rarely gets slow in one commit. A test picks up a dependency, a library lands on the critical path, an output doubles in size, and a month later every build is slower with no single build to blame.

The **Targets** page in the [Build Results UI](https://aspect.build/platform/web-ui) follows each target across builds, over a window from a day to a year. Rank targets by build volume, critical-path share, P90 wall time, P90 execution time, P90 artifact size, cache hit rate, flake rate, or pass rate.

Then switch from snapshot to trend. Each cell becomes a sparkline with its percentage change, and sorting orders by that change, so "which targets got slower this month?" is one click on a column header.

* **Dependency attribution.** Expand a target to see its dependencies with their own critical-path share. "My test is slow" becomes "this library is on the critical path of most builds."
* **Flakes with a number.** Flake rate and pass rate per target, over time, so a flaky test comes with evidence.
* **Target history.** Open a target to see its trend and the builds that built it.

Cache hit rate and dependency expansion need Bazel's execution log, and critical-path share needs target labels in the profile. Neither is on by default, and [Repository setup](https://aspect.build/docs/aspect-workflows/platform/guides/webui-repository-setup.md) lists the flags.

It's on Aspect Cloud and Aspect Enterprise. The [Build Results UI docs](https://aspect.build/docs/aspect-workflows/platform/features/webui.md#targets-across-builds) cover the rest of the page.
